First established in 1858, this whisky is a blend of Canadian rye and grain that has been at the top of Canada’s whisky scene for decades. It originally gained its name after being established as the dram of choice in gentleman’s clubs. The whisky has received Royal Warrants from the last 5 consecutive British Monarchs. During prohibition, one of the biggest customers of the company was a one Al Capone. In recent years, the whisky has had a resurgence due to the popularity of the show Mad Men. This dram is a fantastic example of the Canadian blended style, aged for 6 years for a wonderful mellow sweetness. This is the necessary whisky for classic cocktails such as the Toronto!
