This wine is the perfect accompaniment to many desserts. It goes very well with fig, almond and caramel desserts. Try it with crème brûlée or a glass of wild strawberries. It can also be enjoyed on its own, at the end of a meal, with nuts and other dried fruits.
To mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on 6th May 2023, Taylor's produced a very limited quantity of a Very Very Old Tawny to be bottled as a commemorative limited edition. To create a wine worthy of the occasion, with the importance it has in the national life of the United Kingdom, Taylor's tasters used some of the oldest and rarest Port wines that are aged in wood in the company's cellars. The resulting batch provides a magnificent way to celebrate this historic milestone and wish Her Majesty a long and illustrious Reign. Founded in 1692, Taylor's is one of the oldest and most respected Port wine houses. His Majesty King Charles III is the 15th monarch to reign during the company's lifetime.
