Open ruby color, nose with hints of alcoholic cherry, iodine and clove notes. In the mouth it is fresh, medium texture with a lot of salinity and fine tannins. It is a Volcanic Red.
Fresh, elegant, spicy red and saline as few. Ideal partner for grilled red meat dishes and spicy.
In the middle of the Atlantic and at the base of Portugal's largest volcano the Volcanic Series are pure volcanic terroir wines. The soils are rocky and defy the very definition of agricultural soil. By the sea, where nothing else could grow, the grapes ripened as much as the brave Azorean climate allowed.
