The Verdelho variety was already a reference in Mouchão since the beginnings of viticulture on the Herdade The famous travel writer WH Koebel wrote in 1909 a complete chapter dedicated to Herdade do Mouchão in his book “its Land and People who visit the south of Portugal and not taste it the real Verdelho may have my pity but not my sympathy.
